This past week, Umoja Innovation Refugee Center (UIRC) hosted a 2-day women’s empowerment program at Nakivale Refugee Camp. We interacted with incredible women—widows, single mothers, and orphans—listening to their stories and offering guidance. Together, we explored ways to overcome challenges, grow, and thrive. 🌼

“Umoja ni Nguvu. ” An acknowledgment of the power that unity holds in building a better world.

We provided essential support, including mentorship, psychological aid, and material assistance like matchboxes. The gratitude shared by these women inspires us to continue our mission.

Special thanks to our team, Mr. Mugale K. Tresor and Mr. Hitamo Eliakimu, for making this program a success. 🙏

Let’s continue creating change together. Unity is power! 💪
